NBA player Jared McCain celebrated his five-shade nail polish collection he designed in the lab with Sally Hansen on Friday in Los Angeles.
“I am so excited to announce something I’ve been working on for a very long time now,” McCain said on Friday. “I went to the lab and I actually created these—my own nail polish collection with Sally Hansen. It’s crazy to even think when I first started painting my nails that I’d be here with my own collection of colors that I made.”

McCain initially began painting his nails during his time playing for Duke University in order to break his habit of biting them, but when he played well after a game wearing painted nails, he established it as a good luck tradition.
The collection is themed MVP for “Most Valuable Polish.” Colors include Bucket Blue, GOAT Gold, Net Neutral, Point Guard Pink and Rookie Red. Some of the colors pull from hues that might be familiar to followers of the Philadelphia 76ers star: Bucket Blue, done with a shimmering finish, was made to match the blue in his watch (the hue is also one of his NBA team’s colors). The polishes, which retail for $12.99 via Amazon Beauty, are a part of Hansen’s Miracle Gel line and can also be bought for $24.99 as a three-pack that includes the red and blue colors along with a top coat.
