
Christopher Lloyd may be best remembered for blasting Marty McFly through time, but today the Emmy Award-winning actor and his wife, Lisa, are looking toward a different future: selling their Montecito retreat.
The couple has listed their three-bedroom property in the affluent California enclave for $6.38 million — placing their longtime sanctuary on the market at a time when Santa Barbara real estate continues to draw luxury buyers seeking privacy, proximity to nature and sweeping ocean views, according to a press release.
Lloyd, overall, is best known for his roles in “Back to the Future,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Taxi.”
The Lloyds have lived in the Santa Barbara area since the mid-1990s, but their connection to the region deepened after a 2008 fire that destroyed their prior residence. They rebuilt before eventually purchasing this West Mountain Drive property in 2017.
“This home has been a special place for us, our sanctuary,” Lloyd said in a statement. “Lisa and her creative team took great care in every detail, wanting to create a space that feels restorative and peaceful the moment you walk through the door.”
Originally designed as a stark contemporary, the house did little to reflect the couple’s sensibility.
