Steve Levitan Lists West Hollywood Condo – DIRT

Primetime television powerhouse Steve Levitan and his first wife, Krista Levitan, finalized their contentious years-long divorce in 2018 and the following year bought himself a deluxe bachelor pad at The Edition, a slick, newly built ultra-luxe boutique hotel and condo building in West Hollywood. Records show the 12th-floor city-view unit, purchased through a trust, cost the nine-time Emmy winning “Modern Family” and “Just Shoot Me!” creator a sliver over $14 million.

This week, on the heels of his second marriage late last year to Kristina McElligott, Levitan has hoisted the not-quite 4,700-square-foot aerie back on the market for almost $16 million. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath unit is jointly listed with Blair Chang of The Agency and Shauna Walters at The Beverly Hills Estates.

Huge floor-to-ceiling picture windows frame sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills, city lights, and billboards along Sunset Boulevard. Sliding walls of glass open the massive great room (and a couple of other rooms) to an almost 850-square-foot deck, where sliding panels of teak louvers modulate light and privacy.

The kitchen, with teak cabinetry and integrated appliances, is a study in culinary minimalism; a study/den has lighted built-ins where Levitan displays his impressive trove of professional accolades; and the bed in the primary suite has been positioned to float in the center of the room, where it has unobstructed views thanks to a wall of glass sliders that open to the deck. Other luxuries include an automated lighting program, voice-command audio-visual systems, and three underground parking spaces. Monthly homeowner fees run to just over $10,000 per month.

Developed by Steve Witikoff and designed by vaunted British architect John Pawson and luxury hotelier Ian Schraeger, the 14-story teak-accented smoked-glass building houses a five-star hotel and, above that, just 20 private residences. Besides Levitan, other early buyers into the building include…
