They split up earlier this year after more than two decades of marriage and now, as part of their pending divorce, “Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson and estranged wife Alvina Anderson have sold one of their two Encino, Calif., homes in an off-market deal valued at $2.1 million.
Purchased more than 21 years ago for almost $575,000, net proceeds from the recent sale of the Albers Street property were to be divided evenly between the erstwhile couple, according to their divorce documents. (The documents also reportedly reveal Anderson agreed to pay an unspecified amount of spousal support and co-sign a 12-month lease on a home for Alvina to live while they work out the details.)
Set at the head of a semicircular drive, on more than a third of an acre along a quiet suburban street in the upscale though mostly unheralded Amestoy Estates neighborhood, the single-story midcentury California ranch house sprawls out over 3,342 square feet, according to tax records and other online documentation, with six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Formal living and dining rooms are complemented by a family room and an updated eat-in kitchen chockful of designer appliances. Five of the bedrooms, including the primary bedroom, with its sitting area and walk-in closet, are clustered at one end of the house, while a smaller bedroom, suitable as a staff suite, an office, or a pint-sized fitness room, is tucked away at the opposite end.
