David Wiseman Lattice Terrazzo Stool

This stool by Los Angeles designer David Wiseman, made of terrazzo with jade and granite on a bronze lattice base in a U shape, sold for nearly $50,000. Born in Pasadena in 1981, Wiseman studied furniture design at the Rhode Island School of Design. About 20 inches high, the stool, “from an iconic L.A. residence,” is one of an edition of 24 crafted in 2019.

FDR Signed Photograph with Winston Churchill

This photograph, signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, was taken aboard the HMS Prince of Wales in August of 1941. It shows FDR and U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill at the secret wartime meeting known as the Atlantic Conference. The meeting resulted in the Atlantic Charter, which stated American and British goals for the post-World War II era.

The 23 rings ranged in size from 8 to 3. Apfel, a businesswoman and fashion icon who died in 2024 at 102, was known for her signature look of oversized glasses and whimsical accessories.
