“We wanted the home to feel elevated but grounded—to reflect the beauty of the lake without overpowering it,” says Laughlin. That vision plays out in the soaring 22-foot wood-beamed ceilings, dramatic angular windows, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and custom walnut millwork that nods to the surrounding forest.
