BOSTON–Buro Happold, a practice of over 3,000 engineers and consultants globally, announced the appointment of East Coast-based Denzil Gallagher as US Managing Director and Partner.
The move brings Gallagher, a dynamic leader with over three decades experience with Buro Happold, into this key post at a time of increased success and expansion. Known as a leader on climate change action and a longstanding partner at the firm, Gallagher takes the reins for the 12 offices and over 450 professionals in the United States.
The announcement, made by the CEO of Buro Happold, Oliver Plunkett, came as Buro Happold also elevated 15 senior firm members to the rank of partner, bringing the firm’s total to 99 partners globally. Plunkett announced in late June that Gallagher, who had been serving as the interim managing director of the U.S. Region, would assume the permanent position effective immediately.

Gallagher has served most recently as a partner of Buro Happold, and he specializes in integrated environmental solutions. He started the MEP Engineering and Sustainability disciplines in the U.S. region over 20 years ago, and prior to that he worked in Buro Happold’s UK and Middle East regions.
