How far will you go for the sake of fandom, or to live in your fantasy world?
A luxury medieval-inspired home in New York’s tony Hamptons — one that looks like it’s straight out of the buzzy HBO series “House of the Dragon” — has caught the attention of deep-pocketed show fans to want to make it their own, according to Jam Press.
The outlet notes it’s believed that they’ve placed bids to purchase it, but the owner doesn’t want to budge.
That owner is Sir Ivan Wilzig — the music producer, reality television star, banking heir and philanthropist — who moved into “the Castle” in 1997. (Wilzig and his brother, Alan, created the spread after buying 5 acres of land in Water Mill for less than $1 million in 1995.)
Ana Prado, a luxury real estate agent, told Jam Press that the 13,000-square-foot property is not officially for sale — but the right offer will be considered. Jam Press notes that the offer price seems to be in the $55 million range. Being the biggest fan of the show doesn’t count as much as money does.
“And the most surprising thing is, is that three contacts were made by ‘Game of Thrones’ fans, on account of ‘House of Dragons,’” she said. “The dragon-inspired statues and aesthetics of a medieval castle sparked this demand.”
