Katy Perry Buys Sierra Towers Penthouse for $11 Mi…

Katy Perry is joining the ranks of Tinseltown’s finest who own property in West Hollywood’s iconic Jack A. Charney-designed Sierra Towers. The “Teenage Dream” singer shelled out $11 million for her new Hollywood Hills abode, according to Dirt. Past and present residents have included Sandra Bullock, Courteney Cox, Ozzy Osbourne, Adam Sandler, and Cher, to name just a few.

The 3,000-square foot condo—which is actually two neighboring units combined into one two-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling—was sold by fashion designer and Garmin heiress Jen Kao, who paid $9.3 million for it back in 2016. After securing the top-floor unit, Kao further invested in several bespoke upgrades and customizations, including a plush red movie theater decorated with Western-themed art. There’s also a built-in yoga area, a zebra wood wet bar off the kitchen, and automated blackout curtains that shield the steel-trimmed walls of glass, which provide balcony access in addition to the expansive city skyline and canyon views.

Dark walnut flooring and matching doors offer a moody contrast to the unit’s white walls. In the eat-in kitchen, premium stainless steel appliances and stone counters are warmed by touches of grainy wood and a fleet of brown leather stools. Other highlights include a walk-in pantry, a private office, and the primary ensuite bathroom, which is decked out in white marble and features a step-up soaking tub with a sliding glass door view of the rolling Hollywood Hills.

Perry and her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, maintain their 1930s Montecito estate, which they bought for $14.2 million in 2020. The following year, the American Idol judge sold off her $7.5 million Beverly Hills guest house, and then broke even on the sale of her nearby $18 million Regency-style mansion last summer.
