Kerry Washington brought some sparkle to CAA’s pre-Oscars party. The actress attended the event last night in Los Angeles while wearing a crystal-laden bag with a little white dress.
Washington paired Jimmy Choo’s Bon Bon bag in ivory and pointed-toe chrome heels with Monique Lhuillier‘s bouclé sculpted dress from the designer’s spring 2025 collection, which takes inspiration from Palm Beach’s locale as the “pinnacle of American luxury living.”

The collection Washington’s dress hails from was designed to work as day to evening wear and feature “intricate embroideries [that] bring Hollywood romance into evening,” according to the designer. “In cities like New York and Los Angeles, where we see more of an event-driven shopper, the Palm Beach customer gets dressed for the Palm Beach culture and lifestyle day-to-day,” Lhuillier told WWD when presenting the collection last June. “She encompasses every sector of the collection, which is why we wanted to tell that cohesive story in the lookbook, taking our heroine from day to evening.”
Little white dresses have been trending for the past couple of years, and were one of the breakout trends from the fall 2024 presentations at New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week. The short hemline trend populated the runways of Honor, Kyha Studios, Lihi Hod, Theia, Sareh Nouri, Nadia Manjarrez, and Vera Wang Bride’s shows.
White dresses were also one of the breakout trends from last spring when Chloé, Gucci, Carven, Prada, Stella McCartney, Loewe, Jil Sander and Akris all sent monochromatic neutral looks onto the runway.
