Magic Johnson Shot Hoops on the 312-Foot Charter S…

Forget L.A.—Magic Johnson just found a much more lavish locale to shoot hoops.

The former Los Angeles Laker star shared a video of himself playing basketball on the foredeck of ’s 312-foot stunner, known as Whisper, in Barcelona—which is where, of course, Johnson snagged his Olympic gold medal with the Dream Team in 1992.

That basketball court is just the tip of the iceberg with this entertainer’s paradise. The 312-footer is home to a massive space on the aft deck, which doubles as an outdoor cinema, and a sports bar. The beach club, meanwhile, can act as a second cinema spot or a nightclub. Alfresco dining can be enjoyed across four decks (with six decks total), and the sun deck has a nearly 40-foot mosaic-lined swimming pool, sat alongside a Jacuzzi.

Inside, there’s an ornate staircase situated between two video walls that leads to the superyacht’s custom piano. In addition to a working fireplace, there’s also a grand dining space for 18 guests and an elevator. On the main deck six guest cabins reside, while the upper deck is home to the impressive owner’s suite. That space has its own Jacuzzi as well as an outdoor bed prepped and ready for stargazing. The accommodations also include his and hers bathrooms, each with its own bath, steam shower, and dressing room.

Amenities onboard rival a resort spa. Whisper has a hammam, a spa pool, a massage room, a cold plunge pool, a steam shower, and a beauty room. The vessel also offers a bevy of toys and tenders, including a Hinkley limo tender fit for 12, a Yamaha ski boat, Seabobs, Jet Skis, eFoils, and more.

The superyacht’s origins go back over a decade. It was delivered in 2014; back then, it was known as Kismet. Recently refitted in 2024, Whisper had quite the team to bring it to life. Famed yacht designer Espen Øino was tapped for the exterior, while the folks at Reymond Langton Design worked on the interiors. As you may expect, hopping aboard the vessel…
