The mid-century Los Angeles home that “Friends” star Matthew Perry purchased several months before his death is now in contract to sell to its next owner. However, the final sale price and identity of the buyer are not yet known.
Mansion Global reports that Perry, who passed away in October 2023 at the age of 54, bought this residence in June 2023 for about $5 million. For the purchase, the outlet added, Perry used a limited liability company named for Alvy Singer, otherwise known as Woody Allen’s character in the movie “Annie Hall.”
Several months later, Perry died as the result of an overdose on ketamine. He was discovered underwater and facedown in the hot tub of his other Los Angeles home by his assistant. That residence sold for $8.5 million in an off-market deal in October.
This dwelling that’s now in escrow, located in the Hollywood Hills, listed in May for $5.19 million. Its price was reduced to $4.7 million in September.
It dates to 1957, though has seen renovations over the years. The single-story spread spans roughly 2,800 square feet. It has two bedrooms and a screening room, though the latter was converted from a bedroom.
