Volunteers and staff will be gathered at the State House to support and oppose various bills:

  • Oppose H.1689 S.956 An Act promoting housing opportunity and mobility through eviction sealing (HOMES) aka Eviction Sealing
  • Oppose H.1682 S.1048 An Act relative to summary process and rental assistance
  • Support H.1763 An Act maintaining parity in legal services for small property owners
  • Support H.1593 An Act relative to the defense of private property rights through the prevention of abusive eminent domain takings in the Commonwealth

Fair warning: democracy is difficult! Please prepare to wait a long time to speak. Elected officials have in the past let other officials and invited guests speak first. Bring a closed bottle of water in case you need it. Expect to sit or stand for a period of time. Remember all visitors to the State House pass through security. You must sign in to speak. Speaking is not required. If not speaking, please check in with MassLandlords for a sign to hold.

We typically try to thank participating members with one or two meals, depending on hearing timing and amount. See below for details.
