This Sculptural L.A. Estate Features Modernist Arc…

The Brentwood area on L.A.’s Westside is known for its leafy neighborhoods, swanky country clubs, cute boutiques, and tasty restaurants, as well as its slew of A-list residents. Tucked onto an up-sloped 1.2-acre parcel along Brentridge Drive, just north of The Getty, this $40 million modernist-inspired estate is an eye-catching addition to the quiet enclave and suitable perhaps for a superstar with a taste for something serious but out of the ordinary.

The home was designed by AD100 designers Ramin and Pamela Shamshiri of Studio Shamshiri, an L.A.-based firm known for their layered, bohemian aesthetic that’s rich in colors and textures. Backed by a hillside etched with tiered gardens bursting with lush foliage, mature trees, and native shrubs, the serene oasis hides behind a sculpted, multi-level facade made from board-formed concrete with geometrical steel-frame windows and openings.
