Tara Strong, arguably one of the most talented and successful voice actors in Hollywood, has splurged on an essentially all-new home in Malibu. Records show the Toronto native, 50, paid $5.6 million for her landlocked estate, which lies near scenic Point Dume and spans more than 2-acres of usable land, all of it with hilltop ocean views.
Because the property was never publicly listed on the market, details are slim and photos nonexistent, but we do know that the gated estate sports a 2,400-square-foot house built in the 1960s and originally styled as a quasi-Spanish hacienda. In 2020, the place was put up for sale as a potential teardown, asking $3.2 million, but did not sell. Though they had renderings drawn up for a sleek white structure to replace the hacienda, the owners ultimately decided not to tear down the existing residence — instead, they extensively remodeled it into a warm contemporary farmhouse, complete with a metal roof and open-plan living spaces.
Aerial views show the house still includes a open-air central courtyard that was part of its original design. The property is dotted by mature trees that shade lush lawns and frame those scenic ocean vistas, though there’s no word about whether the place now includes a previously-absent swimming pool. Presumably Strong will be sharing the property at some point with her partner Willie Morris, who runs a goat farm near Yosemite.
While Strong’s face may not be familiar to the general public, you’ve almost certainly heard her voice at some point. As the voice of numerous characters and “a pioneer in the world of voice acting,” per Variety, Strong has starred in dozens — if not hundreds — of films, animated series, video games and more. Some of her most notable characters include Timmy Turner in “The Fairly OddParents,” Raven in “Teen Titans” and Bubbles in “The Powerpuff Girls.” She has also voiced the animated versions of Harley Quinn and Batgirl in “Teen Titans.”
