
SCITUATE, MA — The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4, has announced the installation of Yoany Vargas as its 2026 chapter president, marking a historic milestone as the first Hispanic president to lead the chapter. Vargas began her one-year term on January 1, 2026, succeeding Anthony Susi, who served as chapter president in 2025.
Vargas is a Senior Regional Property Manager at Housing Management Resources, Inc., based in North Quincy, and brings 22 years of experience in the property management industry to her new leadership role. She holds multiple professional credentials, including Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Credit Compliance Professional, and National Affordable Housing Professional – Executive.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Vargas is deeply engaged in industry leadership and advocacy. She serves as clerk on the Board of Directors of the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) and participates on several committees, including Strategic Planning, Communities of Quality, Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act, and Designations.
