Back in early 2019 — around the same time he won the first of two Super Bowl championships, and then went on to sign a whopping $503 million NFL contract — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes doled out around $1.9 million for a modest ranch house in Missouri’s exclusive Country Club District. Now, a little more than four years later, the 27-year-old Texas native and his wife Brittany are hoisting the midcentury home onto the market, asking just under $3 million.
Built way back in the 1950s, but extensively renovated to the tune of $400,000 during the couple’s tenure, the ranch-style structure is tucked away on over an acre of land, and protected by gates and a security system. Inside, three bedrooms and four baths are sprawled across almost 4,800 square feet of open-concept living space boasting blonde hardwood floors, built-ins and expansive walls of glass throughout.
Especially standing out are formal living and dining rooms, plus a media room and completely updated sunroom. There’s also a family room decked out with a fireplace and wet bar, which connects to a gourmet kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island, top-tier stainless appliances and a range hood built into the ceiling.
Other highlights include a lower-level recreation space spotlighted by a lounge area, wet bar and wine cellar, along with a fireside master retreat sporting a sitting area and dual custom showroom-style closets, as well as a luxe bath equipped with a gigantic soaking tub and shower. Outdoors, amenities range from a fire-pit, putting green and heated pool, to an expanded garage that can accommodate up to five vehicles.
